Hanifa: Al-Hufuf, Saudi Arabia

Asalaamwalaikum Webmaster

What is your name? I would like to email you by that. I would also like if you correct the English as my English is good but not big (great or brilliant), jazakallah.

I am (was) born in Al-Hufuf in Saudi Arabia and have had no choice in what I like to do. We are told you do this and this. There is no discussion, or we are not asked if we like or not. I feel I am forced in to Muslimah since (birth) I born. I look at TV and children my age seem happy and do things like boyfriends and go party alone with friends that we would never be allowed or be beaten if it happen. Why does Muslims not have choice? Because I get confused I get angry to (with) Allah to put me here (in this position).

I feel sometime to run away.

Webmasters remarks:

Asalaamwalaikum wa rehamthullah wa barkathu sister

First of all, you have not made many mistakes and we have shown you the corrections. Alhamdhulillah, it is up to every muslim to better themselves and we can do this by helping each other achieve that.

There is more than one person who deals with the emails so it is better just to call ourselves webmaster.

We do not know how old you are, but would like to ask you...do you want run all your life? and how do you know life will be better? In England they have a saying "The grass always seems greener on another field, but isn't always so" This saying is very much along what Islam teaches us. Isn't there any adult who you can talk to, maybe your mum or aunt. You will be surprised how understanding adults can be when you sit down with them and engage them in a frank conversation.

At the same time if you start considering yourself fortunate to have been born in the world's biggest family everything from that point will become easy and Allah subhanatallah will cradle you in his palms and will not allow any harm to come to you. Inshallah. Inner peace comes to those who are patient and practicing. Try doing it and see if it makes you feel more at peace.
