Dear Webmaster - salamalaikum

Without conceit and justification I am a good practicing Muslim girl. I know there are many savvy and decent girls in Pakistan that are in the same boat as me. Our parents can't find it in their hearts to trust us! Especially our fathers. The question I have is Why? If it weren't for my mother I would have never been allowed to go to University. My dad would have liked to see me married to some buda (old man) who I can not but describe to be nothing more than a pervert!

Sadly many girls find themselves in this predicatmant hence the fatwa's by corrupt mullah's! Is there any organisation out here that one can join up to combat this crime against the female populace?

Asalaamwalaikum wa rehamthullah wa barkathu sister

Whilst we can symphthise with this predictment, I am afraid we do not know of any such organisation. Al-Jazeera TV channel does a program called "Every Woman", that deals with many such issues. You ought to contact them to see if they can help in putting you in touch. In the mean time we have added your email to our website and Inshallah some one may contact us to advice in which case we will let you know inshallah.
