In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful By the fig and the olive By Mount Sinai And by this land made safe Surely, we created man of the best stature Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low Except those who believe and do good works and theirs is a reward unfailing So who after that will give lie to you about the judgement? Is Allah not the most conclusive of all judges? |
This is a very early Surah. It shows that man was made of best moulds but is still capable of utmost degredation unless he has faith and leads a good life. This Surah's message is very closely related to the message in Surah 103 Al-Asr
