In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds The Beneficent, the Merciful Owner of the day of judgement You (alone) we worship, You (alone) we ask for help Show us the straight path The path of those whom you have favoured Not (the path) of those who earn your anger nor of those who go astray |
This beautiful Surah in the essence of Seven Verses opens the first Chapter of our Holy book that guides mankind to the path of righteousness, decency, good etiquette and the way to lead our lives. This Surah also forms the essentialness of our Prayer (Ibadah or Salaah) and roots itself in our Faith (Ehmaan)
It teaches us the perfect prayer, acknowledge Allah and our deen and try to lead our lives on the straight path according to Allah and Prophet Muhammad's sunnah
