Five Pillars of the Religion and Six Pillars of Faith
The first pillar of Islam is declaring there is no God besides Allah and Muhammed (pbuh) is his messanger The second pillar of Islam is praying five times a day facing Mecca at prescribed times The third pillar of Islam is the giving of Charity to the poor and the needy. Even a smile is a form of Charity
There is much pleasure in serving the Ummah for the sake of Allah Subhana’Talla.
The fourth pillar is Sawm or Fasting from Sunrise to Sunset during the Islamic month of Ramadan
The fifth pillar of Islam is Hajj or Pilgrimage to Mecca that should be performed once in a lifetime
Besides the five pillars of the religion there are also six pillars of faith
